FAQs and Troubleshooting

Where can I find the installation/operations manual?

The Installation/Operation/Maintenance (IOM) manual can be found in our product catalogue. Simply go to the valve model and download the PDF from here.

What is the difference between a 106 (full port) and 206 (reduced port)?

The 206 series which is also known as a reduced port is similar to the 106 series (full port) except that the seats are one standard pipe size smaller than the flange sizes. For example, a 6 in / 150 mm 206-PG valve has a 4 in / 100 mm seat diameter while a 6 in / 150 mm 106-PG valve has a 6” seat diameter. View our illustration

Why won’t the valve modulate?

There’s a number of possible reasons that may cause a valve not to modulate. Complete the following steps and test after each step:

  1. Bleed all air
  2. Re-adjust pilot
  3. Adjust the opening/closing speed of the needle valves
  4. Change operating conditions to desire range or change pilot set-point
  5. Check that the pilot meets the spring ranges required. If not, replace with pilot of correct spring range
